about

This album is entirely handmade. Only real stringed instruments were used. The discerning listener will also be able to tell that there is no pitch correction or auto-tuning in use. Two of the cuts, "A Song Is A Mountain" & "One Hundred Eyes" are overdubbed, but I played both parts on a Taylor 414 guitar. "Corrinna, Corrinna" was recorded with a Goodtime brand 5-string banjo in standard tuning. For all the other cuts, I played a vintage Harmony guitar, made in the USA back in the mid-1960s. It's the same model I had as a teenager, the one I carried with me everywhere I went. It has a solid spruce top and solid mahogany sides and back. All the recording was done in my home studio, Bespoke Crow, in the mountains of southwest Virginia. I did the recording, mixing, and what passes for mastering. It's handmade, fer sure. I hope you enjoy it.

about

Ron Ireland Virginia

Ron Ireland is a singer-songwriter from Virginia. He was a shy and lonely kid until he found an old Silvertone guitar with three strings and taught himself to play. Ron's voice is a gentle, time-worn instrument, with hope and cynicism coexisting in every note . He is also a fine guitarist with wide musical range. Ron says his songs feature a touch of country, a little blues, a pinch of rockabilly. ... more
